Meet the artists

At Kelaya, the people behind your treatment matter just as much as the treatment itself.

We’re a small team who genuinely care about what we do, the people who walk through our doors, and creating a salon where you can feel comfortable being yourself.

Abbey

Hi, I’m Abbey, the owner and founder of Kelaya Beauty.

I started Kelaya from a spare bedroom when I was 19, and it’s grown and changed a lot since then. But one of my favourite parts of what I do has always stayed the same, the people I get to meet and the relationships I get to build along the way.

I love that over time clients trust me with parts of their lives and that an appointment can be a place where someone feels comfortable enough to completely be themselves. Whether we’re having a deep conversation, laughing about something ridiculous or barely talking at all, I want Kelaya to feel like somewhere you can relax, switch off from everything else for a while and leave feeling better than when you walked in.

Over the years, my love for the industry has grown beyond simply providing beauty services. I love learning, educating and finding new ways to improve what we do at Kelaya. 3D nipple and areola tattooing in particular has a really soft place in my heart. Being able to work with someone after breast cancer and help restore something they may feel they lost along the way is incredibly special to me, and something I feel very privileged to be able to offer.

Outside of work, I love the gym, the beach, spending time with my family and friends and will get excited about pretty much any dog I see. I love getting out and doing things, especially finding a nice restaurant, but I’m equally happy at home with a candle burning and some trashy reality TV or a chick flick on.

More than anything, I want people to feel genuinely looked after when they come to Kelaya. I want you to leave feeling beautiful and confident, but also a little lighter and happier than when you walked in. To me, it’s always been about more than just the beauty service. If you leave feeling a little more like the best version of yourself, then we’ve done what I want Kelaya to do.

Jasmina

Hi, I’m Jasmina, but everyone calls me Yas. I’ve been part of Kelaya Beauty for two years now, specialising in brows and lash lifts alongside my career in nursing.

Brows have become a real passion of mine and are definitely my favourite part of what I do at Kelaya. I love how much can be achieved with the right shape and colour, while still keeping the result personal to the individual. Whether you love a soft, natural brow or something bolder and more defined, I love working with you to create something that actually suits you.

I think my nursing background naturally carries into the way I look after my clients too. I really care about making people feel comfortable, listened to and looked after, and consultation is a huge part of that for me. I want to understand what you like, what you don’t and how you want to feel when you leave, rather than assuming the same result is right for everyone.

One of my favourite things about being at Kelaya has been building relationships with my regular clients and seeing that trust grow over time. I love talking to people, hearing about their lives and all the different things I end up learning from my clients along the way. I love being able to give someone time where they can relax and be looked after, while also creating a result that makes them feel good when they leave.

Outside of Kelaya and nursing, I love fashion, shopping, music festivals, going out for nice meals and spending time with my friends and family. Macedonian dancing is also a big part of my life and something I absolutely love.
