LASH EXTENSIONS
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to lash extensions.
At Kelaya, every set is customised to the person wearing them. Your appointment begins with a consultation to understand what you love, what you don’t, your lifestyle and how you want your lashes to feel day to day.
From there, your artist will design your set around you, considering your natural lashes, eye and face shape, lash health and the overall result you’re wanting to achieve.
Whether that’s soft and barely-there, textured and wispy, fuller and more defined, or somewhere completely in between, our focus is creating lashes that suit you while always prioritising the health of your natural lashes.
We love evolving with new techniques, styles and technology, but we’re intentional about what we introduce into the salon. Trends can inspire the result, but they’ll never replace thoughtful lash design and what’s actually right for the person in front of us.
Explore our lash styles below for an idea of what you might love. And if you’re not sure what to book, that’s completely fine. Your artist can help you decide at your appointment.

The natural half set is for the girls who LOVE the minimal look or for the time poor still wanting that pamper. As the name suggests, this style consists of half the lashes, which means half the time and half the price. Focusing majority of the lashes towards the last half of the eye and evenly spreading trough the remaining of the lash line. These lashes are light and very natural looking. We keep them on the shorter side to ensure a blended look and a long lasting seamless grow out. This style is perfect for you if you love the look of a lash lift but don’t have long enough natural lashes to achieve the desired result.
As this is a shorter time capped service, the outcome is dependent on the individual and we recommend that refills be booked more frequently than normal lash extension styles.

At Kelaya, classic lash extensions are far from boring, hence the name signature. Our artists use many “classic techniques” to create a beautiful natural lash look. We combine traditional methods of 1:1 lash ratio with wet look/angel lash styling.
This lash style can mimic a mascara effect and is the perfect style for someone wanting natural yet impactful lashes.
-
Hybrid lashes are a mix between classic lashes and volume lashes. They combine the two different styles for the perfect in-between.
This style is perfect for someone wanting to add a little more fullness into their lashes without making the complete switch to volume lashes.
This style is also ideal for our artists to get creative. With hybrid styling the options are endless, we can achieve dramatic wispiness and texture.

Volume lashes is perfect for someone wanting a more full and fluffy look. At Kelaya we use a mix between 3D and 5D fans to create the desired thickness. ‘Volume’ sounds scary but we believe that volume lashes are too completely customisable. We pride ourselves on creating natural looking volume lashes as well as being able to cater to clients that want a more dramatic look.
Volume lashes are perfect for someone with a low lash count wanting a natural yet impactful outcome.
-
Mega Volume is for the girls that LOVE the drama. These volume lashes are the most dramatic lash style that we offer at Kelaya. We use 8D-10D lashes to achieve the desired thickness.
Mega Volumes could also be perfect for someone wanting a more full lash set but has a low lash count.
Please keep in mind that not all natural lashes are suitable for this style. The artists at Kelaya will always ensure the health of your natural lashes are the first priority.
More ways to customise your lashes
Brown Lashes
Brown lashes are a softer alternative to traditional black extensions and can be a beautiful option for clients with lighter features, particularly blondes and redheads, or anyone who naturally gravitates towards brown mascara over black.
Available in a range of brown tones, they allow us to create a softer, lower-contrast result while still customising the style to suit your natural lashes, features and preferences.
LED Lash Extensions
We now offer LED lash extensions as an alternative to our traditional lash system, giving you another option when it comes to your lash appointments.
The lashes themselves and the way we customise your set remain the same. The difference is in how the adhesive cures. Rather than relying as heavily on environmental factors like temperature and humidity, LED technology uses a controlled light to cure the adhesive almost instantly as each lash is applied.
This gives us greater control over the curing process, with the adhesive already cured at the end of your appointment rather than continuing to cure afterwards. LED adhesives can also be formulated with lower levels of cyanoacrylate, which can mean less fumes during and following the treatment.
We’re always learning, evolving and keeping up with new technology in the industry, but we’re intentional about what we introduce into the salon. LED is another way we can continue improving the lash experience and provide the best possible service and results for our clients.
You don’t need to know whether traditional or LED is right for you before booking. We’re happy to talk you through both options and help you choose what best suits you and your lashes.

Brush lashes everyday morning and night.
Keep lashes clean. Clean every day with a lash cleanser. Put 1 pump of lash cleanser on each eye and clean in a gentle downwards motion with the brush provided. Rinse with water and pat dry. Do not use tissue or cotton pads as they can get caught in the lashes.
Avoid any oil based products on/ around your eyelashes.
Avoid steam/ heat (opening an oven or dishwasher, fires/lighters etc. This can cause the lashes to drop and lose their curl.
Do not wear any mascara or makeup directly on the lash extensions. Makeup is extremely hard to 100% remove out of lash extensions and can close the fan of the lashes or stick the lashes together if not cleaned properly before drying.
Do not pick or pull at lashes, this can cause damage to the natural lashes.
Try to avoid sleeping on your lashes.
If you have been in chlorine or salt water (or cried) wash lashes as soon as possible with lash cleanser or at the very least fresh water.

Yes, you can get your lashes wet however, for the first 24-48 hours you must avoid steam. It has always been taught that you cannot get your lashes wet during this first 24-48 hours but in fact that is just said so that people avoid steam. So if you need to have a shower after getting your lashes done you absolutely can just make sure you use cold water.
It is extremely important to keep your lashes clean for the longevity of your lash extensions and also the health of your natural lashes and eyes.

At the beginning of your fullset appointment, your technician will have a consultation with you to determine the best lashes for you, specific to your likes/dislikes, face/eye shape and your life style.
It is a good idea to come to your appointment with some inspiration photos, it is best to ensure you have looked at Kelaya Beauty’s photo gallery so that your expectation is more realistic.
-
No, when lashes are applied correctly and aftercare is followed, lash extensions will not cause damage to your natural lashes.
If you are wanting your lashes removed, please book a removal by a professional. It is important you do not try to remove your own lash extensions especially by picking them off as you can accidentally pull out your natural lashes which can cause damage that sometimes can take a long time to recover from.

Lash extensions require refills every 2-3 weeks depending on the individual. Lots of things can play a part in how long the lashes will last for. Our lashes are always going through a cycle. We are ALWAYS shedding and growing new natural lashes. As your lashes grow your lash extension will grow out with it.
At a refill any lashes that have grown out too far will be removed and replaced with a new lash that will get placed closer back to the base of the lash again, this is to avoid the lash extension becoming heavy and dropping by being too outgrown.
As our lashes are always shedding and growing it is important that refills are not left any longer than 4 weeks maximum to avoid there being too many outgrown lashes and therefore requiring a fullset.
Following aftercare instructions will ensure the longevity of the lash extensions.
